With snowshoes on your feet, the whole mountain is yours!

Truger

Snowshoes make the terrain accessible in winter! With a pair of snowshoes on your feet, you can relive your favorite summer trip or reach completely new goals and heights, just as it suits you. Feel free to bring poles, know where there are landslide-prone areas and paws in the road.

Snowshoes have been used as a means of transportation in winter for as long as skis. Earlier snowshoes were made of wood with leather straps for attachment. That's how snowshoes were until the late 90s. Now snowshoes have been modernized to today's equipment requirements. Snowshoes were traditionally used by hunters, the military and a few hiking enthusiasts. In recent years, snowshoes have enjoyed a renaissance and we're jumping on board... This is a fantastic tool! Anyone can snowshoe; minimal prior knowledge and preparation is required. The whole family can go on a trip together and explore the winter landscape from a new angle...

Around Lemonsjøen there are great hiking opportunities in charming forest terrain. Get out your map and follow summer trails or create your own route. Gråhø, Vesslevassfjellet, Ørnkampen with Brannvakthytta and Viewpoint Trollhø should keep you busy for a few snowshoeing trips!

We've been so fascinated by the possibilities snowshoes offer for magical winter experiences that we had to get a few pairs to rent out to our guests. 12 pairs in two different sizes are available for rental, suitable for children aged 8-10 years and up.
Our snowshoes are from Fimbulvetr - 100% Norwegian-made quality product. The Norse name means "the three years of continuous winter before Ragnarok comes, i.e. the end of the world"... we think they're really cool and can't wait for you to try them!
