Kalven seats

To the seats to drink Macchiato...
At the foot of Jotunheimen, at the southern end of Lemonsjøen, between Lemonsjøen Fjellstue & Hyttegrend and Lemonsjø Alpinsenter, lies Kalven Seter. Kalven is an old seat that belongs to the Kviten farm in Tessand. The eight houses on the farm date from the 1800s-1900s and had not been in use since 1960... Anne-Mari Sandvær and Øistein Formo saw the urban potential in the old farm. They took over the farm in 2001, and in 2013 Kalven Seter opened its Urbane Kaffebar.

Anne-Mari is a barista at Kalven seter. Here, coffee is served from an urban coffee menu in the sunshine or inside by the soapstone fireplace. The yard is set up with Energikampen, a long-standing NRK production, and here you'll find Gladiatorkamp, Kjempesprettert and Labyrinter - it's all about laughter!

Before Christmas, Kalven Seter organizes a market with quality goods, and outside Christmas, the long-distance trail runs right across the yard. To get to Kalven Seter from Lemonsjø, cross FV 51 and follow the path down to Lemonsjøen. Keep to the left and walk straight into the seating area. The trip only takes a few minutes.
